Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products
- Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
- Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations.
- Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting, or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks
- Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles
- Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, phones, or GPS equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers
- Inspect trucks prior to beginning routes to ensure safe operating condition
- Drive trucks, following established routes, through residential streets or alleys or through business or industrial areas
- Communicate with dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns, or other maintenance problems.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned
- Inspect and Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Fill out defective equipment reports
- Remove debris from loaded trailers
- Load shipments, belongings, or materials
- Operate 2-wheel cart, pallet jack, and electric pallet jack.
- Complete tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Requires bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 100 pounds
- Obtain receipts or signatures for appropriate paperwork
- Clean trucks and trailers
- Climb ladders or vehicles to perform duties
- Prepare accident or incident reports.
- Load shipments, belongings, or materials
- Follow regulations, policies, and procedures
- Operate tractor-trailer combo
- Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
- Refuel trucks
Qualifications and Education Requirements
CDL-A, Manual Transmission
Preferred Skills
Delivery driver, waste, and/or recycling experience, forklift experience, and customer service.
Additional Notes
Home daily and no weekends.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Must be capable of standing constantly
- May be required to work occasionally at heights above 10 feet from structures, platforms, and ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pound boxes to waist level and a 15 pound bag to chest level
- Ability to lift and dump up to 40 pound bags of aluminum cans
- Ability to lift 50 to 70 pound pallets to chest level
- Ability to drag up to 5 15 pound backs simultaneously up to 100 feet
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of up to 100 feet
- Must occasionally bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and twist
- Unloading trailers of boxes containing empty bottles. May be accomplished manually by picking boxes up and carrying them from the trailer or may be accomplished using provided equipment such as 2 wheel cart of pallet jack
- Dumping glass containers on to a conveyor

- Dumping glass containers on to a conveyor
- Unloading trailers of plastic bags containing empty aluminum or plastic containers. Will require carrying multiple bags at the same time
- Cutting or tearing open plastic bags and dumping contents on to a conveyor.
- Removing cardboard from a moving conveyor system
- Manually picking material up from floor
- Sweeping the floor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred as well as the ability to communicate both written and verbally in the english language.

Additional Notes
- Clothing includes Safety glasses, hard soled boots, hearing protection, street clothes, insulated coveralls during the winter, cut resistant gloves, safety vest, and hard hat.
- General Working Conditions are as follows: Employee works in an open warehouse with temperatures reflective of outside temperatures.
- Equipment and tool include shovels, brooms, floor jacks, conveyors, 2 wheel carts, box cutters, and a bailer.
